Once there, follow the tarmac drive all the way to The Treehouses and The Keepers Bothy (approx 500m).

From the South

Get onto the M9 heading north from either Glasgow or Edinburgh and take the turning to Crianlarich (A84) just north of Stirling. At the roundabout off the motorway, take signs for Crianlarich and follow the road for approximately 6 or 7 miles to Doune.  Just before Doune take the B8032 to your left just before the bridge over the River Teith.  The road forks right to Deanston almost immediately.  Ignore this and carry straight on.

After a mile or so, you will see some very large gates (The Golden Gates, as they are known!) and a gate lodge on your right-hand side.  These gates are normally closed.  If they are open, please ignore and continue on for a further 500 yards around a corner to your left and then a sharp corner to your right and you will immediately see another gate lodge on your right, some letter boxes on a wall to your right, a green sign that broadly says ‘Private’ but does mention the Treehouses in small letters, and a road which you should take.  Follow this for about three-quarters of a mile.  You will pass some old ruins on your left as you go down a fairly steep hill and at the bottom of the hill, immediately after the ruins, turn left (the river is in front of you but hard to see at night!).  Keep going past a road bridge on your right and the fishing hut and car park for the hut which you will also see on your right (if it’s not dark!) and continue a further 400 yards.  You will see a small road on your left and a sign which says, ‘Keeper’s Cottage’ and ‘Keeper’s Bothy’. Please turn left up this track and you will see The Bothy ahead of you. There is a parking area just round the side of The Bothy.  For the Treehouses continue just past this turning and up the small hill and the Treehouses will appear in front of you.

From the North

Get on the A9 heading south and exit onto the A820 direction Doune, just north of Dunblane.  Follow this road into Doune.  In the middle of Doune, fork left by the obelisk and follow the road down to a T Junction after about 400 yards.  Turn left onto the A84 and drive for 400 yards till you come to the bridge over the river Teith.  Turn right immediately after the bridge.  The road forks right to Deanston almost immediately.  Ignore this and carry straight on.

From the West

Get on the A84 from Lochearnhead (Crianlarich/Tyndum etc) and follow the road through Callander.  After about 7.5 miles having left Callander, you will arrive in Doune.  Keep on the same road following the A84 past The Woodside Hotel set back from the road on the left until you come to the bridge over the River Teith at a sharp left-hand bend.  Cross the bridge and then immediately turn right.  The road forks right to Deanston almost immediately.  Ignore this and carry straight on.
