Hidden away on the banks of the River Teith on the edge of the Trossachs National Park, Lanrick is within an hour’s drive of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is wonderfully secluded but easily accessible. Our luxury Treehouses, completed in 2020, make the perfect base for hosting a group in close proximity while maintaining their own privacy and in superb comfort. The stunning grounds on the banks of the river are an incredible place to host a relaxed special event, whether it's a family reunion, mini festival, corporate adventure, or secluded wedding.

A group taking all five Treehouses, the Keepers Bothy and one of the event spaces makes for a perfect visit for intimate gatherings of 14-20 people to enjoy the stunning riverside and mountain scenery whilst staying in our luxurious accommodation. Hidden away on the banks of the River Teith and tucked into a natural setting near the forest edge, Lanrick offers a cosy base for the wedding party and their friends.
Our other accommodation units on the private grounds mean that we can accommodate a group of 20-30 overnight all within a mile of each other, with well-appointed bedrooms across the estate. The varying range of accommodation we have provides excellent scope to accommodate groups, whatever their requirements and budget, for their exclusive use event or special wedding day, creating a fairytale setting for a secluded wedding.
Planning Your Perfect Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
It's important to note that outdoor weddings in Scotland are legal but must be conducted by an authorised celebrant, who will need to notify the registrar in advance. For your peace of mind, our ceremony location has landowner permission for outdoor ceremonies. Of course, outdoor weddings, though magical, can be subject to the vagaries of the Scottish climate, so we can help with indoor options in the event of inclement weather..
Make your intimate wedding or event that little bit different
Aside from the accommodation and event spaces, we also offer a wide range of activities that most wedding venues don't offer. We have a woodland Sauna and can offer Swedish massage, bike hire for the group, local transport, foraging trips and riverside BBQ experiences. Our partner organisations can provide a full range of tents, catering, flowers and decorations, music, and technical support for your event. We can provide a list of our preferred suppliers but are happy to work with others by separate arrangement.
Here at Lanrick, we are big fans of outdoor BBQs; whether it's cooking over a pit, Argentine Asado-style, or using locally foraged ingredients, we have several options for wild dining with a majestic backdrop. To combine this with outdoor music over drinks and a magical tented dinner can make for a great main event for a special celebration.
